    A must
I loved everything. The breathtaking views, the gardens, the exhibits, the café to quench your thirst. And of course the very knowledgeable historical guide walking me back through the beginning of Malagasy time, the history of the kingdom of Madagascar, and passing me whatever little history I could soak in. Malagasys are deeply attached to their soil and the folks before them. "Tanindrazana", the land of our ancestors. However, as my guide said, we urgently now need to also look for "taninzanaka", the land of our children.

    A great place to start
This museum is just 2 years old and has functional multi-media displays in english french and malagasy. The display of historic photography is arranged in an interesting and easily accessible way providing context and information about madagascar’s history, culture, geography and economics. If you arrive knowing nothing about madagascar... this is a great place to start. Set high on the hill for great city views and with a lovely terrace and cafe outside (cafe may be closed.. pot luck) 10,000 mga entrance fee (about £2.20 or 2.20 euro)
