Great hikes
Great paved 3 mile trail, frisbee golf course, play area for kids, fields for sports, decent bathroom facilities. Great for family, friend or work gatherings. The river provides a lovely setting, cooling and calming.

Many options of things to do.
I have visited here many times. Great place to take kids to ride bikes, picnic, catch crayfish in the river, nature walks, play baseball (they have fields). The best place to catch crayfish: When you pull into the park make your 1st right and go to the end. You will see a bridge that the asphalt path takes you to. Very shallow and safe place to walk (bring water shoes). I am always surprised how few people play in the water on a hot day. It is actually quite nice. If you are nervous cuz it is a river, wear a life jacket.
