RV Camping

We spent Sunday-Thursday camping at the park. Our site was across from a waterfront site, which luckily was vacant and our view was not obstructed. The lake was clean and fun to swim. The bottom was not mushy or rocky, so it was comfortable to walk in the lake. The park has lots of amenities that are still closed because of Coronavirus, but we still had lots of fun!

    A GREAT SPOT TO VACATION
We have camped many years at Wind Creek State Park. We camped in a tent when my children were small, a pop-up camper when they were teenagers, and now we have a camper. We have rented the cabins and enjoyed them too. We have brought our grandchildren and now they bring their kids. We have encountered a few problems over the years, but when we talked to the staff, the problems were handled. No, the park is not perfect. It is not a million dollar resort, and doesn't pretend to be. I am sure if you look for the negatives, you will find them anywhere at any park. However, if you want a fun vacation with beautiful scenery, peaceful surroundings, pleasant walks, then you won't be disappointed. The noise of children laughing and splashing in the water, the squeak of bicycle wheels as children ride on the roads, the sight of the squirrels running through the leaves, add to a very enjoyable experience. Wind Creek State Park is a very enjoyable place to spend leisure time.

Camping at Wind Creek State Park
Visited in mid July obviously it was pretty hot...but wow! What a great place. We stayed for a week in the new loop by the water...word of advice Spend the extra money...These sites are great, very long and wide and new. I have a 45' 5th wheel Toy-hauler with side and back patio and had plenty of room plus plenty of space for extra vehicles. We fished right there, rented Pontoon boat was fun, swam everyday right off our site and had a great week. They even had a little BBQ festival which was a lot of fun to attend as well..can't say enough...drove 900 miles and had never been here and would definitely go back.
