Beautiful Vineyard with Excellent guide and wine tasting
Located in the village of Arraiolos, one hour away from Lisbon, Ravasqueira has maintained a three-generation link to the Jose de Mello family since 1943. The vast area of typical Alentejo landscape and the unique geological and climatic conditions found here led Jose Manuel de Mello to believe that Monte da Ravasqueira had everything to be a producer of high-quality wines. Today, Monte da Ravasqueira extends over approximately 3,000 hectares, 45 of which are dedicated to vineyards. In keeping with the quality and character of its wines, blending tradition, innovation, and dedication to the art and science of winemaking. Monte da Ravasqueira also develops other activities related to cork, cattle, fattening of the Alentejo black pig, as well as the production of honey and olive oil, besides the wine tourism activities such as especially designed wine tasting, courses, and visits.

Club visit to Monte da Ravasqueira
Our wine club from the Algarve visited the vineyard on a perfect April day. We were met by Tiago Correia and given a very thorough tour of the Quinta. The carriage museum was a great favorite. Tiago was very professional, and also very friendly, full of charm and knowledged. We loved the wines and the food . . . I know we will return some day!!

Monte da Ravasqueira, A Unique Setting and a Unique winery
The visit to Monte da Ravasqueira in Arraiolos was very tranquil and enjoyable. Tiago the Wine Tourism Manager does a great job. Very informative and organized showed us first the finest private Collection of Horse Carriages. After we had a tour trough the vineyards, followed by a visit to the production area. We ended up in the tasting room, have a great taste overlooking the barriques on the cellar room. Very nice wine selection!
