Fantastic Museum
Despite not being particularly interested in dinosaurs, my family still really enjoyed our visit to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. A family of 4 costs for $50, which is incredibly cheap compared to a lot of museums I've been to recently. In return you get a well designed museum that takes you over different eons (before and after dinosaurs existed). Fantastic displays, artifacts and lay-out. We easily spent 3 hours there, and could have spent the entire day there if we took the time to read everything (it gets quite crowded) The kids did note that the gift shop was actually not very interesting. They normally find the gift shop the best part of visiting a museum, but it was the opposite on this visit, which is fine with me. Fully recommended.

Kids and Adults will love this place
We had planned quite far in advance and took advantage of RTM scheme to prebook tickets for a particular time. As it happened we arrived about an hour early for our visit but no problem, tickets were quickly and couteously exchanged. We needed a wheel chair for the wife and this also available..$3 charge which is very reasonable. Loved the exhibits...cleverly done and in such away that ever younger kids would understand earth's evolution including the dinosaur period (s). Entry way to museum under renovation at the moment but still manageable. I liked the overall layout of the place and the written explanations on what we were viewing. A wonderful destination for ages 6 to 60.
