Monument to Texas Revolution Georgia Battalion Volunteers

This is a simple monument but very moving when you read the story that accompanies the memorial. It is right on the main road and located in a nice park. Nice place to take a break.

    Nice Park
The Bank Park was very shady which was a welcome relief in the hundred degree weather. The fountain is well kept & the plaques around the monument are easy to read. I loved the unique shape of the fountain.

    Pretty and educational
The monument is a fountain in the center of the corner park. It is pretty and informative. I was not aware of Georgia's contribution to Texas Independence. Down the street you can also find one of the greatest courthouses in Texas.
