Beautiful place
The only way from Valdez to Anchorage goes through the Thompson Pass. We took an hour brake for short hiking there. It was a great idea! An hour went like second, but we were able to see another beautiful part of Alaska. A lot of flowers, a lot of snow makes this place magical. Wherever you look, the views are gorgeous. I've taken many pictures and record many minutes of the video of that great land. If you go through this Pass, stop the car , go out and enjoy! There is a big parking lot on the top of the Pass. I strongly recommend it. RomanP

Trail of 98
This is about a 3-mile hike. Unfortunately, we only got to do a mile that day as the clouds got too low and breezy, and we didn't come prepared with proper gear & clothing. As a result, you can't even see the glaciers around you but still can enjoy the view of the waterfall at the entrance of Keystone Canyon. I'm hoping to come back and do this hike.

Beautiful views
This is a nice area to see some wonderful views. There are quite a few areas to pull off the road to take pictures. If you are there during the right time of year, you can also pick wild berries - Salmonberries, Crowberries and Blueberries are the most common.
