Breaching whale with mountains for the background

The statue is amazing with great details showing a breaching whale with mountains and the town for the background. It seems like it is of real life size with fins open in the rotational fall of the humpback whale. Great artwork and great location to exhibit (next to the bridge connecting Douglas to Juneau).

Not real, but the pictues will make it seem so
An impressive small park with an almost life-sized whale that will spout periodically. The setting is nice in that you can see much of Juneau by looking one way and some of Douglas Island by looking the other. You may see float planes take off from here or Coast Guard boats patrolling. Nice boardwalk leads back into the town area.

    Life size whale
Life size whale along the water. Great photo opportunity. The whale also spouts water periodically through a fountain. Nice garden area and trail that runs along the water with information about the sculpture and how it came to fruition.
