Great one-day kayak rental
Just had an amazing kayak rental experience with Sound Paddler in Whittier. We've rented kayaks in various places in Alaska, including Whittier, and this was by far the most enjoyable. Easy to work with. Understanding. Helpful. We planned on a morning kayak, arriving through the tunnel at 10:30. However, in Whittier the wind was blowing and the water was pretty choppy. Sound Paddler called ahead to let us know, and once we arrived they were happy to accommodate putting off our rental for later in the day. No hassles. First, Sound Paddler offers one-day kayak rental, which is not the case with all outfitters. Also, with the 2020 pandemic ongoing, we were able to get 30% off the regular one-day double kayak rental rate, which was amazing. Bottom line: use Sound Paddler, you won't be disappointed.

Great Day Paddling Blackstone Bay
We had the opportunity to have a great day paddling with the owner Perry. He is a great guide and made the day perfect. We paddled to the faces of the Blackstone and Beloit glaciers. Perry treated us to a great lunch. We had perfect weather and a great day! Thank you!

Great Experience
I rented a kayak for a trip 7 day trip I did with local friends. I can't say enough about the help and the service that was provided. I came from Wisconsin so everything was organized over the phone. All went off without a hitch with the rental. Beyond that Lois was helpful with everything from trip advice to handling our vehicles and parking. This level of service is hard to find anymore. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for my next trip!
