Dog Sled Demo in August

We took the roadside hike from the Visitor Center to the Dog Sled Kennels to see the demonstration. Very informative talk by the ranger to start the demo. Very much enjoyed seeing all the dogs, so beautiful & friendly. The dogs were all so eager to be part of the demo - they are started barking as soon as they knew it was time to start. Would definitely recommend this demo. Arrive early if on foot since they are many tour buses that stop here! We enjoyed the area after all the buses left - much more time to really see the dogs up close without all the people.

    Dog time in Denali
Hiked the trail (almost 2 miles) from Denali visitors center to see the Dogs and was NOT disappointed. Able to walk along the Dog yard and not only watch but interact with some of the dogs and the Park staff. Better than I remember from my visit 18yrs ago. Demonstration on hold (covid) which is ok, because the experience to get close to the DOGS was excellent.

    Worth it!!
We took the car to this area (about 2 miles from the visitor center) instead of walking since we wanted to go to the savage loop after. WAlked into the area. Demonstration on hold due to covid, which was okay. We got to walk around (you can make as many loops as you want) and it's one way. And see the dogs and pet them if the dogs were okay with it. I got one to say hi to me!! Most of them were sleepy and the Ranger said it's because they know it's summer and they don't have to work. Also this is included in your ticket.
