Amazing White Water Rapids Day at Six Mile Creek!
Six Mile Creek Kenai Fjords National Park Amazing day at Six Mile Creek 846805888 My family and a local friend visited Six Mile Creek with the guides at NOVA Alaska. The entire trip was fantastic. Our family group consisted of 7 people on 2 rafts, and another larger group who traveled in from Slovakia. My family and friend were led by Reid and Berr. The guides were knowledgeable, entertaining, and highly skilled at training everyone to work together towards navigating the class IV and V rapids There were no major incidents and had there been, the team displayed their ability to quickly respond to adverse situations. Their traing and safety precautions will keep most people safe under most conditions, as long as they pay attention and listen to their guides. Of course we are dealing with nature and class V rapids. This group was so refreshing to be around that I didn't want the day to end.

Rafting on Six Mile Creek
Had a great day rafting Six Mile Creek. The rafting is a good way to get your motor running. The outfitter (Chugach Outdoor) did a great job of preparing us and keeping things safe. We started with safety briefings and swim test, then into the rafts. The class III and IV seemed to preps for the class V rapids that are the highlight of the trip. The Pearly Gates, the Anvil, Staircase, Suckhole, Merry-Go-Round and Jaws are a just some of the rapids and give you an idea of the fun to be had! Be ready to get wet and a little chilled, the dry suits do not keep you completely dry, but do a good job for the most part. After completing the runs there is a chance to jump in and float in calmer waters and then you return to the start point where you can shower and hot tub if you like. The hot cocoa was a nice touch!

Awesome rafting experience
We had an awesome rafting experience going down Six Mile Creek in Southcentral Alaska. The water was high and the drysuite does not always keep you totally dry, but you sure would not want to do it without the suit. We were only going to do the first two canyons, but had so much fun we decided to stay on for the third canyon and it was well worth it. Great guides and great experience!
