Great Walk in the Woods
Fantastic hiking trails, great things to see. wasn't crowded at all, it was like having the place to ourselves. Spotted a few Bald Eagles on the walk. Since we walked from town, the total distance was more like 12 miles than what our daughter said it would be, lol, but only towards the end of the hike near the waterfall was it really a tough climb. There were a few spots on the way that screamed for a polar plunge, and on the way back we stopped at the swimming hole with the rope swing and dove in. Coldest water I've ever been in, numbed me to the core, but after I got out, dried off and redressed, felt so invigorated! Gonna look into Cryotherapy when I return home. Of course, one can turn around at anytime and make it more of a workable distance, but the falls were totally worth the tired legs.

A Walker's Heaven
This trail is fantastic and user friendly. It takes you from one end of town to the other and you may use a bicycle also. Sitka is one of the loveliest towns in Alaska and this activity gets you up close and personal.
