    A Fun Golf Course
I enjoyed my 18 hole round at Settler's Bay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The course is enjoyable with only a couple of really challenging holes. For Alaska the greens were in better shape than I expected. If you are in the Wasilla area this is the course to play.

    Great Golf in Alaska
Settler's Bay Golf Course is a beautiful, privately owned, public course about 8 miles west of Wasilla, Alaska. The 18-hole course features a well-manicured course with a driving range, putting and chipping practice areas, multiple tee options, and a nice 19th hole restaurant and bar. The newest addition is golf hover boards. Some training is needed to use them, however. The views are tremendous from the clubhouse and the 1st tee. The front nine can be challenging with tree-lined fairways and sometimes narrow greens. The back is a very different and older section of the course. The greens are mostly small and relatively flat, but require some accurate shot-making to play well. The 18th hole is one of the most challenging in Alaska, a long, narrow, uphill par 4 with a green that slopes away from approach shots. Just holding this green after 2 shots is an accomplishment! This is a fun course and it has great amenities.
