Awesome canoe and kayak adventure
Review long overdue - sorry POW - but well deserved, so here it is: I, and my group, cannot say enough good things about Katie and our experience with POW. We took part in a 5 day canoe/kayak trip on the island back in 8/21. The trip gave us the adventure, solitude, and beauty we were looking for, due in large part to the wonderful service, gear, and advice Katie provided. Without the high-end kayak and canoe, I doubt we would've made it to our cabin, never mind the back country lakes on the canoe route. Also, we found Katie to be a great person too! Glad we made POW our choice and would again...hope to sometime soon.

Unguided Kayak trip around Peratrovich Island
Katie was fast to respond and so helpful in providing recommended route maps, and was very flexible with our changing plans. I'd never experienced the payment system used on her Website, but it's the easiest and best! Harlan delivered the kayaks to the boat launch and helped carry them to the water. He had further detailed information about the route, especially since it was going to be a bit windy. We went with our daughter and family. A highlight was having our picnic lunch on a beach in a calm bay and NO people for 360 degrees around - only islands, trees, rocks, beach, and beautiful blue water and sky. When we returned, we called Harlan and he was there in minutes for pick-up. We are experienced kayakers, so went on our own, but POW Excursion Outfitter does guided tours also.

Made our POW trip one to remember!
Katie is excellent! She hooked us up with the best gear for our trip (motor, gas can,etc). Everything was top quality, easy to transport, and exactly what we needed to be comfortable. She also had lots of great recommendations for things to do on POW and her knowledge and appreciation of the island's history was second to none. You can bet we'll be calling her next time we're in town and I highly recommend you do too.
