great place to look at birds
We have visited Potter Marsh a few times and it is one of our favorite places near Anchorage! We always meet interesting and friendly people there. The boardwalk is clean and straight. We saw many different kinds of birds, and one moose.

Relaxing walk on the Boardwalk - apart from the gun range!
We loved walking on the boardwalk among the ponds, and also seeing the salmon swimming up the river. It is very relaxing there, though at the end of July we didn't see much else. What made it less relaxing was the constant barrage of noise from the gun range nearby, plus the highway which the boardwalk borders. Maybe could have built it further away into the wetland area? And it was free, which seems to be unusual in the USA.
