Point Woronzof, Alaska, United States

4.5 (199 reviews) Spent Ranking #30 in Anchorage Historic Walking Areas

Nice little spot to watch planes and look for marine life

Busy little spot. Parking lot is usually pretty full. Had a food truck and ice cream truck to enjoy while you take in the view. You can hop on the tony knowles coastal trail from here to walk/bike. You can also watch planes fly right over your head as they take off from the Anchorage Airport.

    Nice views all around
It's a great place to go out there and just look out in the ocean and see what you see. Great for a sunset but also if you like plane spotting. ANC is No.4 in the world for cargo and there are huge cargo planes flying out. You might also catch some military planes flying into the AFB but overall, it's a place with great views.

    Cool views and Plane watching
Basically a parking lot. But in the parking lot you can get out and jump onto a hiking trail heading towards Earthquake Park. You can sit in your car and stare at the awesome views of the mountains in the distance. And you can sit and watch the planes taking off, flying right over your head. It's a cool little spot. I went here for a little while to eat and kill some time before I had to head to the airport for my flight home. Beats sitting in the airport. Especially these days...
