Great Hiking Trail

One Duck is a great hike if your interested in a moderate hike. The trail gradually inclines making it nice to go up or down the trail. It has steps so make sure you don’t bring a stroller! If you need a break, there’s plenty of logs or benches you can sit down and look at the view! My dogs enjoyed this trail as well.Pack a lunch picnic and enjoy at the top in the shelter :)

Lots of stairs but not difficult
This is a well-maintained, gravel trail that gently climbs 1,100 feet to a rustic shelter at alpine level. Viewpoints along the way allow you to pause and take in the beauty of the valleys below. On our hike in July, we saw several wild flowers including marsh marigold, bog orchid, blue gentian, and monk’s hood. The trail is 1.25 miles one way which took about 40 minutes. Keep your eyes open for evidence of bark stripping near the start of the trail. Very interesting.

    Beautiful rain forest hike
This was a relatively steep and mostly maintained trail. Built in mid-90s by Youth Conservation Corps, so parts of it are in need of some attention due to erosion. Great views of the valley and mountain ranges. Quiet and interesting hike.
