Major Marine Tours - Kenai Fjords Cruise, Alaska, United States

5.0 (7.186 reviews) Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent Ranking #3 in Seward Boat Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips

Our favorite one day adventure!

Major Marine Tours delivered a memorable experience for our family of four. Captain Laura, Katrina, and the rest of the crew were informative, engaging, and enthusiastic. This team shared the history of the Fjords and shared in the excitement when we spotted Orcas, otters, sea Lions, humpback whales, puffins, eagles, etc. I highly recommend splurging for this day long tour since it may very well be the most memorable one of your trip.

    Perfect sea tour
Our marine tour was perfect! Our captain, Nat, was an excellent guide, great at spotting wildlife and giving us interesting information about the animals and topography. He made sure that everyone had a chance to see marine sea life by directing us to their locations and turning the boat so that everyone had a chance to participate. He was also exceedingly positive, given that it was raining, foggy, and cloud covered when we departed. We saw humpback whales bubble net feeding, an orca, a black bear, mountain goats, Dall's porpoises, the glacier calving, Harbor seals, Stellar sealions, sea otters, puffins, bald eagles, and more. The crew took care of any of the seasick patrons graciously, served us lunch and snacks efficiently, and kept the ship clean. Our group consisted of 7 people, ages 9-61. We also liked that we had an assigned table so that we had a place to leave our stuff and we appreciated that they had plenty of binoculars for everyone to borrow. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Great Wildlife Cruise for the Family
The 4-hour wildlife tour is relatively inexpensive compared with many other local fishing or glacier tours. The ship is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. My kids had great fun watching the whales, the cute sea otters and several other sea creatures, as well as the spectacular glaciers along the trip. My daughter said she is more interested in studying environmental protection after the tour. Hope this education oriented tours will get state funding and therefore keep it low budget and affordable to all visitors.
