Great views and very well maintained trails
This is a really great trail that gets the blood pumping and it allows for super views on a clear day. I met a few other locals and all were very pleasant and friendly. As others mentioned, wait until its dry to have a great experience.

Fantastic All Day Hike
This is a great hike, unless you are in great shape and do these types of hikes on a regular basis, plan on 5-6 hours easily for a round trip, especially with kids. Take lots of water and bug repellent is nice. Two options of trails - one straight up (strenuous) or one switch back (still has steep parts but much easier and takes longer obviously). Personally, I'd take a picnic lunch and enjoy the views (picnic table about 3/4 way to top with great view). Our youngest was 5 and did make it up and back down although it was not easy at times...need breaks and energy snacks!

a good 2-3 hr walk.
You start the climb in the tree line visibility is limited. Be sure not to be too quiet. We came up on a Moose cow with her calf. Since she heard us ahead of time she kept a watchful eye but did nothing else. Once above the tree line the you can see over to the neighboring peaks. Keep some bug spray handy the flies will find you.
