    Lots of aricraft
This is one of the largest if not the largest floatplane base in the word. There is not place to go to restroom unless you are going with one of the places that take off from the area. However, it is worth the drive to see the float planes (there are a lot) and then see the gravel runway for the smaller planes with wheels. After you leave you can go a short distance and see the larger passenger commercial planes take off at the end of the airport runway.

You have never seen this many small planes in one place!
The lake is beautiful and very serene. We drove around to take a look at the planes and the area. If anyone is interested in aviation, this is a nice area in Anchorage to explore. We did not see any planes taking off while we were there because it was early in the day.
