Liquid Sunshine
This is a great place to sample some really good local beer. My personal favorite was Liquid Sunshine. The Hefeweizen was also very good. The prices were unusually reasonable for Kodiak. So buy a growler and take some with you.

Awesome
Every time I'm in Kodiak I end up here every night. Great selection of beers (the Liquid Sunshine is amazing, as is the Wingnut Brown and Abbey Brown), and it's a cool atmosphere. I'm a big fan of the fact they let dogs in as well.

Awesome place to hang out
Went to Kodiak for a week in July 2015... Spent every afternoon there having drinks at this outstanding establishment. The 2 drink limit is annoying, but I get it, it's the law. That aside, the beer is amazing. The Sarah Pale Ale, Liquid Sunshine, and Wing-Nut Brown are all worth maxing out your limit... Insider tip, stop by the pizzeria next door to pick up something to bring over to eat while you drink and socialize.
