WOW!! Better than on TV!!
We had the pleasure of touring with Sunrise Kilcher (sister & historian) of the Kilcher Homestead… who did an amazing, heartfelt guided.She’s an incredible credit to her family for being such a great representative / ambassador for the Kilcher family. The views were spectacular! Narrated beautifully!! I have no doubt that others contemplating doing the Kilcher Homestead tour, will NOT be disappointed and will love it as much as we did. Thank you Sunrise – you ROCK!!

Well worth the time and price.
We booked the tour via an exchange of text messages with Stellavera, one of the six Kilcher Sisters. It was an easy process and we arrived after a 2.5 hour drive from Cooper Landing. Stellavera gave an excellent overview of the “real” Kilcher Homesteading family versus the version presented by Discovery. We are fans of both, especially after Atz drove up unexpectedly and spent quality time with the small group and posed for photos. He could not have been more gracious or humble. The visit to the original family home was well worth the time.
