This is a DO NOT MISS Alaskan experience. Jmho.
If you want a GENUINE Alaskan experience, listening to a true Alaskan legend, do NOT miss this tour. We left feeling like we got infinity more than we ever expected. The longest, BEST “Ted” talk, but it was Jeff King doing the storytelling, and we sat there listening, for all we were worth. When my chance came to “ask a question”, you can get I had one waiting, and loved his response. Fingers crossed he will be back again, but you never know for sure. Honest answer. I’m one of those lifelong Alaskans that tends to find my own fun, with my fella, and adult kids, but when I reserved our creekside cabin, for five nights, I figured we ought to do more, than just the park shuttle. My sister and I are longtime Iditarod fans, and spending time at Jeff King’s dog kennel, seemed ideal, but we doubted we’d even see him. I had no idea the tour details, beyond holding the summer puppies. I’m not going to spoil your surprise, if you go, but hearing stories of the Iditarod, straight from Jeff King, was something we’ll not forget soon. This Denali getaway was mostly about us finding fun outdoors, relaxing and the two “events” I picked, were the perfect ones for us. Seeing Amanda helping with the dogs was great too, cause we were rooting for this rookie last spring. The other young man helping, sad I forgot his name, was wonderful too, and a right decent storyteller himself! We had no idea what to expect, and I won’t share exactly what the tour entails, only that it is worth every penny, and more. Jmho, as a gal that has knuckle bumped so many legends, over the life of the Iditarod, and looks forward to this race every year. If I do Denali again, it will be the same plan…..McKinley Creekside cabin, Denali green bus shuttle and def, Husky Homestead tour! Cheers to our winter #60 ahead, me and my sister are ready!

    A most memorable Alaskan experience
This was one of the highlights on my and my husband's Alaskan trip (we liked this better than the Denali bus tour). Holding 10 week old puppies on arrival (tip - get there 10-15 minutes early) was such a joy. Followed up by a well organized, informative presentation of the dogs running in formation and a play by play of the Iditarod by Jeff was phenomenal, and hilarious. The whole experience takes about an hour and a half and is well worth the cost. Do it!
