Your adventure begins at your cruise ship where we’ll board a high-speed vessel made for wildlife viewing en route to an Alaskan paradise. We’ll ply the waters of the deepest Fjord in North America with a naturalist guide, watching for whales, sea lions, porpoise, and many other species of marine wildlife. We land at Glacier Point and board our Safari Buses for a short drive over the terminal moraines. Our award-winning guides share with you the wonders of this Glacial Wilderness. A quarter mile hike will lead us to the iceberg-studded lake where we’ll paddle our canoes to the face of the glacier. This is an ideal family adventure and one you won’t soon forget!

    AMAZING
We booked this excursion through Norwegian Cruise Line, and we feel this was definitely a big highlight of our Alaska adventure. The tour began as we met representatives from Alaska X Touring Company at the end of the cruise pier once our shipped docked. We boarded a vessel that took us 90 minutes on very rough waters to a location where we met our guides, Zach and Jenna. What amazing guides they both are! Upon arrival, we boarded a school bus where Zach drove us 20 minutes to the location where our canoeing adventures began. Please know that boots, waterproof pants and jacket, and oars are provided to you. Please note the following: • There are no bathroom facilities on the 90 minute vessel ride to and from the meeting location. • There are outhouses for use once you arrive on land to meet your guides. • Although NCL rates this excursion as a Level 2 for difficulty, I would say it should be rated more like a Level 3, high/strenuous physical activity. • You should be able to walk several miles on uneven surfaces. You will also need to be be able to get in and out of a canoe and should be physically fit to row for short periods of time. •If you suffer from motion sickness, this excursion may not be for you. • Be mindful of the weather and dress accordingly. We arrived via canoe to a location where we were able to hike about a 1/4 mile from Davidson Glacier. The views and experience were absolutely amazing and breathtaking. This adventure was a once in a lifetime opportunity, which we are so happy we were apart of. If given the chance to book this excursion again, we definitely would! We enjoyed this experience very much and hope you consider trying too!

    Incredible!
This was a fabulous tour! The boat ride up the Lynn Canal was breathtaking! There were waterfalls and bald eagles. The scenery was incredible! Our naturalist, Grace, taught us a lot about the area on the way up the fjord. When we got to the canoes we loaded up and only had to paddle for a few minutes before they started up the small motors. We were paddling upstream so it was hard and we were all glad for the motors. Not paddling left us free to enjoy the incredible scenery and take pictures. The glacier itself was out of this world! It has been retreating in recent years so we weren't able to get closer than about half a mile, but none of us cared. The glacier is an absolute wonder. The glacial blues were on full display and she put on quite a show for us. Our guide, Zach, was hilarious and knowledgeable in equal measure. I kept joking that he was going to get a bad review, but he was really great and kept us laughing with his goofy jokes. I would love to take this tour again in a year or 2 just to see the changes in the glacier. It was well worth the money and I would do it again.
