awesome trip to the glacier
even though it was a rainy day we got to see a lot of birds and seals on south marble island and mountain goats on another island. we passed quite a few humpback whales on the way to john hopkin's glacier. we picked up 2 kayakers on another island and saw a coastal bear and some even saw a wolf (1st one for this season for our national park guide). I love that there were a couple of seals bobbing along the shoreline as we were loading the kayaks on the boat. Both the crew and national park guide were awesome. Lunch was included in the cost and free hot drinks were available throughout the trip. Bathrooms were very clean as well as the inside cabin and outside deck area of the boat. as it was the end of the season the boat wasn't full and passengers had an opportunity to talk to each other. we even got to see how the park guides got picked up and dropped off from the huge cruise ship. It was pretty interesting.

Awesome scenery and wildlife
Expensive. Super calm on July 5th. Scenery and wildlife were worth it. Wildlife sightings included humpbacks, sea otters with pups, seals and pups, sea lions, mountain goats, puffins. Others on board saw an orca but I did not. Great narration and information provided by park ranger. Lunch left alot to be desired. Sandwich and either chips or a cookie. No chowder in am and afternoon cookies as mentioned by other reviewers. No open bridge policy by captain also as mentioned by other reviewers. These differences could be due to covid restrictions. Communication regarding boarding could have been better. It took alot of time to board kayaks and kayaker gear while other guests were waiting in very buggy conditions.
