So Scenic!
An incredibly scenic State park. What a lovely place for a drive around or go on many of the hiking trails. Lots of history, too. On weekends volunteers open the on site Kodiak Military History Museum. It documents how Kodiak Island was in the vanguard of our coastal defense in World War 2. The museum is hands on and children will be amazed by the displays

A fine stroll
A way to share the horrors that young men are forced into by the cynical old men who send them off to die. The remains of a forgotten campaign are good for those of us who come after to remember. The trails are well marked, well mapped and well maintained.
