Dock Point Park & Trail, Alaska, United States

Scenic walk

Scenic trail across highway from small boat harbor is wide and graveled for most part. Great looks at Duck Flats and harbor as well as boreal forest. Boardwalk over wetter parts but if very wet wear waterproof boots or hiking boots. Flowers blooming in late May.

    Short hike with great views!
This is an easily accessible trail maintained by the City of Valdez Parks and Recreation Department. There are great views and a lookout where you might want to take photos.

Nice trail and lots of wildlife!
This is a nice stroll for someone that wants to enjoy nature right in town. I have seen all kinds of birds and wildlife to include black bears on this trail. The trail takes you along the bluff with a few benches if you need to sit and rest of just want to enjoy the beauty of the trail. The parking lot is large enough to accommodates all sizes of vehicles including RV's. The trail can get kind of trashy at times, so please pick up after yourself. The platforms with the benches could also use some brush trimming so you can view more of the water, but overall this is a great little trail. Recommended for anyone wanting to take a short hike in town.
