Excellent simple food
We stopped here for lunch, hoping for the best since they were the only place open to eat on a midweek day at the end of the season. No offense meant, we just are not beer drinkers and did not know what to expect. What a great meal we had! For an appetizer, we had the pretzel bites with a yummy cheese sauce. My husband had fish and chips, and I got the reindeer meatloaf. Amazing! The meatloaf was tender, well seasoned, perfectly cooked with homemade real mashed potatoes. Most amazing of all was the gravy. Real gravy. Clearly homemade. No Sysco mix. I loved it. The fish was fresh as expected in Alaska, and o good portion size. We heard a neighboring table raving about the beer flight they had tried, buying some to take home and some sort of sampler box for a gift. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, but there is a beer review for you. I did read their literature about the beers, ciders and spirits they craft - it sounded impressive - even though I don't drink I respect the craftsmanship that clearly goes into what they do. And the same craftsmanship goes into the pub type foods they serve, proving simple foods can be excellent

Two flights of the best beers in the state.
Always a great stop. On our trip to Talkeetna the brewpub was packed but on our way out of town we wanted to socially distant from others on the outside seating. The brewery tasting room was set up very clean and safe with well spaced tables one directional ordering, and one party in the tap room at a time. Some of the best beers in the state come out of Talkeetna. We tried two flights of beers and loved every one.
