    Amazing!!
The Dean farm is fascinating on many levels and has something for everyone! The tour includes art education on Jeff’s metalwork and Ranja’s bronze techniques along with a tour of the workshop (which is like a gallery in its construction). The craftsmanship on all of the buildings is creative, interesting, as well as functional and beautiful. If you have an interest in fruit, flowers, herbs, or gardening there is a lot to enjoy and learn. Raising and breeding chickens and their keep/care, as well as goats, donkeys, and a special half yak named Yeti (who alone is worth the tour). The tour concludes with a visit to the Dean gallery (the building alone worth touring) and it contains the creative work of three different artists each with their own unique and interesting styles. The scenery is picturesque and there is so much to learn and absorb that the time flies by and days/weeks later we are still processing everything we saw and heard. It is definitely worth a visit if you ever have the opportunity.

    Wow! Amazing, beautiful, engrossing
We visited as a part of a longer tour we were on, and I was a little skeptical as neither art nor farms is my thing. I came away practically glowing - the Deans are fabulously creative, inventive, and welcoming, with a wonderful aesthetic. Their gardens, animals, design, buildings, and stories will make you realize how differently a life can be well lived, and but for the winter weather, make you wish they’d adopt you. Any one of the flower garden, vegetable and herb gardens, animal collection, or ingenious buildings would be enough to make this family jaw droppingly impressive, but on top of all that they are accomplished artists. A greatly appreciated 2 hour visit. Thank you!
