Used Golden Eagle Air Taxi to visit Cape Krusenstern National Monument on return from trip deep inside Kobuk National Park. The NM is just North of Kotzebue Alaska on the Church Sea. We landed and observed and took photos of a herd of Muskox about 1 mile from the shoreline. The Muskox were very wary and hard to approach. After 1/2 hour of watching them we returned to Kotzebue.

Cape Krusenstern
Had a flight with Golden Eagle Outfitters out of Kotzebue up to Cape Krusenstern National Monument. These folks make the journey really worth while getting feet on the ground in the monument. Had opportunity to learn more about the site by visiting the National Park Service Visitor and Information Center in Kotzebue.

Check the Tundra
Cape Krusenstern is one of the places you can visit with Arctic Backcountry Flying Service. While not offering the mountain grandeur of Gates of the Arctic, the cape offers vistas of the Brooks Range and the unique polygon freezing patterns of the area. Your chances of seeing animals is excellent. Breath-taking!
