Da Bears
If you wish to see the bears safely and close up, this is the place to be. Wear comfortable walking shoes and all food is to be kept in a locker. Bring only water on the hike since this is the only safe drink that will not attract bears.

National park rangers may need to patrol trail. Amazing bear viewing though.
I think the Brooks River platform is as good as the Falls platform. It was just splendid viewing of bears and nature. My one criticism of the place is that I think there should be rangers patrolling the trails area also. We had a close encounter with a bear on the trail, and it was a bit scary for me and my little ones, ages 7.5 and 10. What helped us in the end was encountering other travelers on the trail back to Brooks Camp.
