The BEST of Petersburg!

We spent 2 wonderful days with Scott on The Pelican and would highly recommend his tours. We did one day of whale watching and one day at the LeConte Glacier. Scott is very experienced with great knowledge of and love for the areas he guides in. He took great care to point out all of the different animals, young birds, and beautiful sights. We saw 50+ whales on our whale watching trip, and even got to see 2 breach! The boat is comfortable and safe, and we appreciated that it had a small bathroom too, as we were out on the water all day.

A spectacular experience at LeConte Glacier
Highly recommend a tour of LeConte Glacier with Captain Scott Hursey. His knowledge and 30 years of experience make him the best possible captain and guide for a breathtaking and daring tour of Alaska’s most active glacier. His boat Pelican comfortably navigated the dense field of icebergs to bring us right to the face of the glacier. After a whole summer of touring Southeast Alaska by boat, our one day with Alaska Passages remains most memorable. .

    Great Whale watching
Captain Scott Hursey has inherent local knowledge of the waters and whales. His M/V Pelican is a comfortable vessel for an all day trip. The whales are incredible and listening on the hydrophone enhances the experience. Just go with Scott you’ll be amazed.
