Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall, Alaska, United States

4.5 (20 reviews) Spent < 1 hour Ranking #16 in Sitka History Museums

Enjoyed our visit here and the First Nation dancing!

Our last stop on our excursion was to watch Tlingit dancing at this venue. The dancers shared information about their culture and demonstrated some of the dances/stories common to their people. We enjoyed this thoroughly. Learned a lot and the show was very well done. The very young dancers were especially impressive!

    Off the path
The native people of the region want to share the areas history. The hall is a great place to start. I later took a nature walk and a driving tour to the mountain/glacer side. No matter if you fly or cruise in this activity is a great jumping off point to the rest of the area.

This picture is of Sheetka Kwaan Naa Kahidi! (Not ANB Hall)
The Community House - Sheetka Kwaan Naa Kahidi - is a wonderful place to gather. The totem art inspires, and the local natural wood seems alive. What's nice is the vast variety of community events held there. Grab any chance to experience warm community in this powerful house. ANB Hall (not pictured) is just a short block down the Katlian Street and also is a great gathering spot.
