Alaskan Fine Art

My wife and I were in port at Ketchikan from our cruise ship to look in the shops. Alaskan Fine Art was the third art/jewelry store we looked at and our last. All of the art is beautiful and unique. Eddie Lee is the owner and much of the sculpting is his. His work is one of a kind. I was assisted by the Gallery Director Kathy Lee, Eddie’s daughter. She was friendly and of course, very knowledgeable of all the work in the store. I purchased a Bear with Cubs piece of walrus tusk ivory. Amazing! When you are in Ketchikan, do yourself a favor and stop in to see incredible pieces you won’t see elsewhere.

    AMAZING ART
When I travel, I like to go to shops that are unique and not the typical tourist trinket places. Alaska Fine Art is an incredible store. We went in and the staff was so welcoming and explained about the work done by Mr. Eddie Lee. His carvings are simply gorgeous. I bought a gorgeous box and so did my sister. We returned later in the afternoon with two of our friends. They also bought a box. My sister purchased one of the incredible bears Mr. Lee carved. The staff when to a great deal of trouble to wrap each purchase we made to guarantee we would get the items home safely. This is an amazing art facility and one that everyone should stop in and see.

Store Containing Work of Master Sculptor, Eddie Lee
This is a store selling art work created by Master Sculptor, Eddie Lee. The carvings, stone bowls, elaborate tusk work, and stone figures are astounding. His work is expensive, but they put no pressure on you if you choose to walk through his gallery and and admire his gifted work. It's worth taking 20-30 minutes away from seeing the same old curio shops in Ketchikan to enjoy seeing some phenomenal sculptures. You might even find a perfect piece for your home.
