Fun beautiful hike.

This hike is beautiful. If you are in the area it is worth your time!!! It is about 7.2 miles round trip up and down hills. It is a little slippery the last 1/2 mile but amazing surprise at the end. Beautiful waterfall and blue pool. Make sure you go all the way or you will miss the waterfall and limestone rock walls. Take a water bottle and snacks. Wear hiking shoes if possible and take a camera. Enjoy. I would rate it difficult but fun.

    Warm Summer Walk.
It met the expectations as being a challenging hike. We went when it was a little dryer, so we didn't have any difficulty with mud, but again the falls were dryer as well. The wife and I are well into our 40's. We found it more challenging than the 20 year olds running circles around us. We had read to expect to use 3 liters of water per person. I would say take at least that at the minimum. We took 5 20oz bottles of water and 2 large Gatorades, and we still ran out before we made it back. We did hike it in and out all in one stretch. I imagine it would be a great overnight camping adventure. Just keep in mind, as you are walking in... every step you take down, you will have to take up coming out. I would rate this trail moderate to difficult. It does have so.e fallen trees that complicate the walk. It would be great if a boyscout troop could cut a few trees and maybe clean up the trail markers., especially right after both of the foot bridges. But overall, we will remember this for a lifetime.

    Depends on water flow
This is a tough hike, but interesting. The Alabama trailhead is a little shorter perhaps. You will probably have to rock hop or wade through water with slick surfaces. Then you will have to climb a bit to see the best falls. If there is little flow, there will not be much to see. When there is too much, it is hard to cross the water leading to the falls.
