Mark Smith concert hall
Mark Smith Hall is a very nice theatre play set up. There are plenty of ushers to assist you and show you to your seats and remain accessible for any assistance that might be needed during a show or performance. Not a bad seat in the building. Some cons: The hall has many portals to make access seating to outer seats very easy. BUT be carefull on steps when lights are low. Saw one in attendance make a fall by not seeing a step up to get out at portal 6. Currently the area and civic center still has plenty of construction and there are fences blocking the sidewalks between the Von Braun center and the Mark Smith Hall which meant having to walk in the road if coming from that direction. Just seemed unsafe to be set up like that. The musical was allowed to sell tshirts etc right at the restrooms entrance and this created a major bottleneck of people when event was over. Needs better location set up when selling items or keepsakes of the event. Tickets are thru ticketmaster so a $49 ends up with fees to be $18 more (order processing fee, facility fee, service fee). For 2 tickets it ended up $134. Not saying the musical was not worth it but fees almost as much as another ticket. There is a nice and convenient parking deck across street and access from both Clinton and Church streets. Parking only $5.

Three Dog Night at Von Braun Center
We came to Huntsville to attend a Three Dog Night concert at the Von Braun Center. It is the first time we were at an event at this venue and found it very nice. Our seats were comfortable and on the main floor in row L. The view of the stage was good and the acoustics in the hall were good. Security was through and friendly without neglecting their responsibility. There seemed to be ample parking at the venue at a reasonable price. Signage to the hall could have been a bit better, but there were plenty of others going to the same place so it wasn’t too difficult. We enjoyed the concert and liked the venue. Looking forward to future opportunities to go back.
