    Brautiful park
Another of Alabama beautiful park. We camped at Birmingham South because Tannehill doesn’t take reservations. It has very nice facilities but when your out of state you want to be assured of a campsite. We toured the park saw the historic iron furnace and forge. It has a grist mill. It has a River . Lots of craft houses that sell their ware. Bought a lovely child quilt. Very shady area. trade fair was going on with yummy sausage sandwich. They also have a creamery and the best ice cream ever! Friendly staff!

    Nice park
Tannehill is a nice campground. It doesn’t accept reservations, it’s first come first saved. I got in and there were plenty of spaces but it is November. Once registered, I paid $42.50 as a senior for two nights, not bad for a water and electric site. They do not assign spots. Drive around and find one you like. I scored a pull thru in campground 3. The campground 3 bath house is showing it’s age. It could do with a makeover. A plus was they had a laundromat. Bring your own detergents. None available in the laundromat. Bring lots of quarters, no change machine on site. Okay, it is 2020 and they don’t have WiFi. Please, it’s 2020 and people want connectivity. Yes I know we are supposed to be getting away from the world and relaxing in nature. I still want to be connected to the world. It’s far enough off the highway so that my ATT service had the faintest of signals. I barely got text messages out. I shall return. I found it very beautiful. On the third weekend of most months, forget winter, they have Trade Days, a big flea market I need to check into. Expect the campground to be jam packed.
