StillWaters Golf Course, Alabama, United States

3.0 (22 reviews) Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent Ranking #4 in Dadeville Golf Courses

Poorly maintained

The course is laid out beautifully but it's obvious there is a lack of attention to maintenance of the greens. Worth it once.

    Very Hilly Course
I played here with my son. The Course is very hilly and challenging. It also holds water in several spots. You will have a good time, but it is not RTJ quality.

Give it a try .... This course is coming back into shape
I played 1 of the 2 courses 15 years ago or more so I really can not compare that but i can share that with all the rain the grass was coming in well and mostly lush. yes there are some bare run off areas but the overall condition is good. Overall this is not a really easy course even from the whites - it is fair but there are blind shots that will trip up the 1st time visitor. I noticed a lot of bad reviews from 2-4 years ago and I understand from a member that it has come back a lot more and is in better shape than even '17. Yes the place went belly up even before the great recession and both of the 2 18's were shut down & allowed to grow wild. Only 1 of the 2 courses is open - the one with holes on the lake is closed but may open in the coming years. I would evaluate the 18 holes there now on it's merits. If you are looking for dirt cheap this is not priced that low but relative to Atlanta prices $50 weekend is a fair deal. We played and the greens had been punched so we were given a $35 rate. Again really fair. We had a 10:50 time and the pace of play was fine even with the course filled in with players. They is no beverage service on the course right now but they will set you up with a cooler and sell you what you need. This Stillwater location is a fine track but if you want a nicer and more challenging course drive 35 min to RTJ Golf Trail's Grand National in Opelika AL - there are 36 holes and one of the two 18 has held a web.com event in the last 5 years.
