Walked across.
Visited this bridge as part of human rights road trip.Walked across, read about its History.Underneath the bridge there is a walk through the woods. This was a very eerie place for me as the woods were used for many lynchings.

Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail
If you have the time, it is absolutely worth driving from Selma to Montgomery to follow the March to Montgomery path. Selma is a bit run down, so you won't need to spend a ton of time there, but there are several places worth visiting at least once, especially the Edmund Pettus Bridge. The drive takes about an hour total, and there are tons of civil rights tour stops in Montgomery to check out.
