Good brews and kid friendly

I've been here twice, both times it was great! First time was a "meeting" with DADs. The second time was with my wife, daughter and friends with their daughter right before Christmas. The place was packed! No one batted an eye that our kids where there. There was a Christmas business party before we got there that gave everybody their buffet food from The Little Donkey. Just an open to everyone feel to the place. Joe and Kate have made sure that this was one of those places that no babysitter is needed to visit. With Steel City Pops and the Little Donkey next door, there is something for everyone. Very large and open area, so you don't feel crammed in like sardines. Can't wait to go there again soon! Btw. Try the A Pound A Brown or the Homewood Heffi. Both type will satisfy any type of beer drinker.

Great place to start or end the night in homewood
Red Hills brewing makes a fantastic edition to Homewood. You could make your entire night out of this little corner. Have a bite to eat at Little Donkey, have some dessert at Steel City Pops, grab a drink or two at Red Hills Brewing and then sober up with some Octane coffee or continue the party with a cocktail. The tap room is decent size and can definitely accommodate a large group. There are TVs and plenty of seating. The beer is fantastic, tried the Gangster Rap IPA and the session IPA. Both were great. The Gangster Rap IPA was definitely better as it was much "hoppier" and flavorful. Try this out, pre or post dinner you won't be disappointed.

    2016 Thanksgiving
My wife , daughter, and I had supper at Little Donkey couple of doors down and decided to try Red Hills for an after dinner beer. It was early and it was not very busy. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. We had a flight and it was very good. The interior looked to still be a bit of a work in progress but I understand they haven't been open very long. It was dog friendly and there was a couple with a dog. It looked like they were setting up for music and the crowd was starting to pick up when we left. There seems to be a lot of competition for breweries in the area, but we would stop in again and give it another try.
