Civil War and Spanish American War hero's house
If you are a Civil War history buff, or just enjoy the mid to late 19th Century then you need to make a stop here. There is free parking and the admission is reasonably cheap. They have a small gift shop with some nice items at the end of the tour. The docent was simply amazing! She kept the tour interesting as well as educational. No photography allowed inside.

Pond Spring Joe Wheeler
Well worth the stop. Our tour guide was full of interesting facts and information and shared it well as she told the Wheeler family story. We learned a lot of Wheeler family history that we had not known.

Lovely in-depth tour
My wife and I had the most amazing in-depth tour, all by ourselves, given by Lyndsey. She was very patient with all our questions, and very informative. We live only 45 minutes away but never really knew about this jewel. What's really astonishing is the number of original Wheeler family artifacts found in each room.
