Worth the drive; a treasure to visit
We very much enjoyed our visit here! Strongly advised to call ahead, which we did. You can choose the standard tasting (~30 min) or the tasting with history (1hr+, depending upon your interaction and other factors); and of course we chose the history version. Wow! This lady is a one-woman show and has amassed such depth of knowledge both of the winemaking process and the history behind this farm vineyard and its GENIUS owners. Be sure to sign the guest book, get a photo in front of the red door, grab some wines/vinegars/various gifts, and support this great piece of Alabama’s history! Cheers!

I wasn't a wine person... I am now. The Rachael's Recipes are also outstanding.
So many good wines to sample, you'll certainly go away with a bottle or two (or more). The alcohol content is a bit higher than the average wine; 13% -19% abv, if I remember correctly. The Bodega, with 30+ years of aging, is my favorite, but the Satsuma Liqueur, one of their fortified wines (16.5% abv) is also another treat. And just recently added rums to their list of items. Rachel's Recipes - the jalapeno and garlic stuffed olives are delicious. Best I've tasted in the U.S. I also love the pickled okra, as well as their several types of jams/spreads they have to offer. They're known for their top notch vinegars, which I can't rate, because I'm not a vinegar type person. Ensure to get your photo taken in front of the "Big Red Door".

Great hidden winery with a rich history
Fun little vineyard with a good history and nice wines. They also make some knock you over rum!! It is hidden on a small highway in Perdido with vines covering a lot of the entrance. The buildings surprise you with the old run down look but the wines will not disappoint. They also make some wonderful white and red muscadine grape juice that my son had a blast tasting while we tasted our wines. We bout 12 bottles of wine, a bottle of their vinegar, and two of their wine glasses!! Will recommend and go again when in the area!!
