Has a great display of artifacts, most found in the fields near by. With local hunters in the Lawrence County area. The Indian festival is always a hit in the spring. Visit Jessie Owens museum while here. One of the USA's best athletes ever.

The Indian mounds are interesting but the museum looks tired. The guide just talked but had little interest in our thoughts and questions.

Interesting!
We were staying in Birmingham Al for business and decided to have a trip out to see this centre and also the Jesse Owens Museum which is close by. We visited on a Sunday soon after opening at 12.00 and we were the only ones there! We found it very interesting and met the guy who works there and he showed us around the museum. We drove around the park but it was too hot get out and walk. We found it very interesting.
