    I love Neely Henry
This was my fourth time visiting the lake. The fishing is great for crappie and the lake isn’t packed like other places. While in town we purchased a vacation home. Can’t wait to go back!

    Best Kept Secret!
I hesitated to write a review. This is one of the best kept secrets in Alabama! The lake is sitting on top of Lake Logan Martin - the dam is at Ragsdale. It is a beautiful well managed lake - very little flooding and deep water year round. In the summer, there is a fisihing tournament almost every weekend. Sailboating can be done year round. The Lake in winter is home to a number of migratory ducks - and many other species can be found year long. Gadsden and Southside are the biggest towns on the River, Very little development of commercial attractions has been made in the area. There are only a few restaurants that offer river views. It is about 1 hour from Birmingham - to the northern most part of the lake. It is a wonderful place for a summer vacation house. 2 hours from Atlanta - 2 hours from Chattanooga.
