Beautiful day trip
We took our grandkids to the Natural Bridge. The short hike was perfect for small children. We had a picnic. It was a beautiful spot. The lady running the small gift shop and collecting a small fee, was extremely nice and friendly. I recommend this spot if you are looking for a short day trip. We were passing through the area and it was a wonderful area to let the kids run out some energy and have a good lunch area.

Beautiful place!
Lots of great picture opportunities here at Natural Bridges. You CANNOT climb on the top, of course! But from below it's spectacular. Easy walk on uneven terrain with roots & rocks but easily maneuvered on foot with a little effort. Under the bridge there are slimy, watery rocks, so I wouldn't recommend it up there if you're not sure footed. There is a handrail, but not easily reached at times. The grounds are beautiful. Nice roadside break for those traveling through. If you are traveling in an RV, call ahead & make sure there is room for you to turn around. The parking lot is a bit narrow for larger rigs to turn around.

Beautiful bridge
The natural bridge is huge and so awesome. We thought we would be able to hike for awhile here but this is not really a hiking destination. The loop isn’t even a mile. Still, pretty and peaceful. I would not make a day trip out of this. It makes for a great quick trip following Dismals Canyon or Bankhead National Forest.
