Loose dogs???
We love this campground. The views are great. The sites are spacious (especially 52). The showers need some updating and possibly security locks. Anyone could walk in from the campground while your in either bathroom/bathhouse. The campground is secured with a key pad and gate which is nice. My main complaint is having a 18mo old toddler who loves to play outside and dealing with 2 random “stray” dogs. They just showed up each day and would approach us and how would you feel with random dogs approaching your child? Im not happy. I called the campground and NOTHING was done. Some other campers said “they live on the hill and just come down to hang out”. They need to stay on their hill.

Large rooms, great value
We were quite satisfied with our experience staying here for the “Fins, Feathers, and Flowers” event. Don’t expect luxury but the rooms were large, clean, comfortable, and a great value. Each room has a balcony; depending on where your room is located among the buildings, you may or may not have a view of the lake. We ate the buffet breakfast twice in the lodge restaurant Water’s Edge and it was good. The event group had dinner catered in our meeting room one night and it was nothing special but it was good. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Eufaula. Be sure to visit the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge which is a 5-minute drive from the lodge.

Eight of us went for breakfast. Service was very slow because there was only one server. She did a great job however. Everybody’s breakfast was pretty darn good. So we thought we’d go back for the evening all you can eat seafood buffet. That was a mistake. The boiled shrimp was soggy and mushy. The shrimp was crispy. The slaw was fair at best. Mock crab -nah. The best part of my meal was the shock top beer. Great location. Helpful servers.
