Upon a Chance

This is great for kids to older adults who like different things about different places. Was just here this last weekend; beautiful place, nice people around, historic, rustic, and you can walk short or long distances and view this fantastic landscape. Seen the cave at DeSoto and was looking for something else to round out the day - this is perfect or do them opposite. These places are going away for house building, developements, etc.. see it while you can you will not regret it.

    A Beautiful Stop
Always wonderful when the tour guide loves his history. We were captivated with the stories and i have made the best corn bread with their corn meal freshly ground. Dont miss the local honey either. If u paint bring your easel.

Beautiful hidden gem close to DeSoto Caverns
After a fun day at the Caverns, we decided to stop by here real quick to get some pictures of the covered bridge. Went into the store and heard voices upstairs, so we walked up. There was one of the owners whom was talking to another couple. He proceeded to give us the most wonderful and detailed account of how this historic mill was put back together and saved for future generations. Even my teenage son enjoyed all the history and the view out of the windows was breathtaking. This little tidbits of old sights are what I remember as a child and so happy that I could expose it to my own son. I would suggest to bring a picnic and enjoy the ground and the water area around the Mill. There is also camping and hiking. The little store has some local grist made grits and cute handmade crafts. Loved seeing the passion someone has to save our past and make is simple and memorable. So happy to went down this road.
