Outdoor recreation, dog park, splash pad, playground
Went for a walk here, stopped for photos of the military displays and to see the wildlife, mostly ducks (we also saw a rabbit). Nice mix of sun and shade. The large lake is nice. Dog park nearby and a splash pad/playground if you have dogs and/or children. Worth the short drive easily.

Great Park
Johnny Henderson Park is very well kept up. It has a running track that measures about 1.25 miles, a huge pond with ducks, a big playground for children, a splash pad for those hot summer days, covered picknick areas for parties, and a softball complex with 4 fields. I almost forgot about the dog park they’ve added not too long ago.

Really nice park and play area
The park is very nice and we like walking the trail. My kids love the play area but it can become packed quickly. The only negative I have is the parents that either drop off their kids or wonder off to avoid the responsibility. Too many wild little kids at times with no supervision. I shouldn’t have to help someone’s little child that fell as I look around and see no parent walking my way to check on them. I don’t mind helping but if my child fell or was hurt, I’d be there. Other than that, definitely visit and walk the trail.
