Amazing

Stopped here and fell in love, just amazing! It’s about 25 minutes from interstate and we had no problems finding it. There was a small parking lot and visitors center(closed due to Covid). It’s a short 5 minute walk to the falls. You can walk right to edge, the were people jumping off while we were there, don’t miss this beautiful gem!

    Great family fun!!
Our family goes all the time. We love this place. It's a county park in the Alabama mountains. There is currently no entry fee and is open 10-6. There are lots of different activities, depending on the age and physical condition of your group. My family (teenagers) go to jump off the waterfall into the water below. There are several different levels where you can jump, so you can work your way to the top. There is a rope to pull yourself out of the water. It's a very physical activity, but lots of fun. If you cross the bridge and go upstream about 100 yards, there is a rope swing into the river. The water is deeper there and that's where the kayakers spend their time. Below the bridge, Town Creek widens considerably and the water is very shallow and still. That's where families with young child tend to congregate. If you go, you should know - pack a cooler. There is nothing to eat or drink for miles. Also, there is no patrol or lifeguard on duty and the cell service is spotty at best. Be careful.

    Great day trip!
The views were spectacular! The water was refreshing to wade in. Kids lived the playgrounds! Definitely recommend visiting!
