    Cemetery in Montgomery
My family and I stopped by Oakwood Annex Cemetery also known as Hank Williams Memorial in Montgomery, AL. This is a large cemetery that's combined of 5 different cemeteries. The cemetery is open daily from 7am-7pm. You can drive right up to almost any of the gravesites you wish to see. Hank Williams and Audrey's gravesite can be seen while in your car or you can walk up to it. It is a flat surface for those who don't do well with hills. Right next to Hank Williams on the right side is his mother's gravesite. Just a few gravesites down is the Royal Air Force Memorial buried here are 78 officers and men of the Royal Air Force who lost their lives while training in Montgomery during the Second World War. Also in the Oakwood Cemetery is Elizabeth Priscilla (Cooper) Tyler she was President John Tyler's daughter-in-law. When president John Tyler's wife was ill and later died Elizabeth was President John Tyler's White House hostess until he remarried.

    Absolutely worth seeing!
I took a detour from my trip to Savannah to visit Montgomery, specifically Hank Williams Sr's resting place. This was well worth the trip! I am too young to remember this man, but I have heard his music. This was so a breathtaking place. Finding the memorial in a very quaint cemetary was a little unexpected, but so worth my trip!
